Getting Here
Magenta Private Island is located 6 miles offshore Placencia.
Getting to Magenta from Placencia:
Once you arrive in Placencia, our team handles everything. Guests arriving at PLJ airport are picked up and taken to our dock, and then transported to the island aboard Sandian, our 56-foot luxury yacht. The crossing takes just 20–40 minutes depending on sea conditions—your first taste of island serenity.
Getting to Placencia
There are three ways to reach Placencia from Belize International Airport (BZE):
Complimentary Private Shuttle — Our driver meets you at the airport and brings you directly to our dock in Placencia Village. The scenic drive takes approximately 2 hours 45 minutes, winding through the Belizean countryside. This is our most popular option and is included with your stay.
Regional Flight — Tropic Air and Maya Air operate daily flights from Belize International to Placencia Airport (PLJ). Flight time is 15–30 minutes depending on routing. Fares are approximately $130 USD per person. We’re happy to assist with booking.
Helicopter Charter — For guests seeking a once-in-a-lifetime arrival experience, Astrum Helicopters offers direct service from Belize City to the Magenta Island Helipad. The hour-long flight includes aerial views of the Belize Blue Hole and Barrier Reef. Charters start at $3,250 and vary based on group size and itinerary. Contact us for arrangements.
